First, allow me to state clearly that I’m not a member of Common wealth of zion assembly (COZA),never attended a service there, and finally I’m not in any way related to Pastor Abiodun.
After getting that out of the way,for those that don’t know what this post is about. Please kindly check this link out click Try to be open minded.
I don’t know if this accusation made by the lady is true or false…but I’m basing my opinion here, on what she wrote.
From her blog post,it is very glaring that she claims to be abused. But this to me is a lie. You can only be said to be, abused, if and only if, you were taken advantage of. Like being coerced to do something. She is as guilty as the pastor.
What I find a little troubling is that, on twitter most people seem to support her. She is an adult for crying out loud. According to her,the pastor said she should kiss him and she did. I’m I the only one that find this funny kind of? And yet she claimed to have been abused.
And she still went ahead to have sex with the pastor. This shows the type of lady she is. She didn’t cry for help or try to stop him. And at the end of the day,you are asking for an apology. Apology for what? For having sex with you, or ‘abusing’ you? You both did it together. I don’t see any reason Ese should now be playing the act of a weaker vessel. Unless some kind of jazz or charm was used on her,as she so silently imply, in my opinion from what I read, she doesn’t have an excuse.
This doesn’t mean the pastor isn’t guilty. He doesn’t live by what he preaches. And being a pastor doesn’t exempt him from guilt.
It is high time, the millions of church go-ers,especially the new generation churches started doing their own thinking them self. All this seeing of pastors as demigods should stop. There are thousands of motherless babies homes you can help with all the money and gifts, you give this pastors. Thereby savings thousands of children from malnutrition, even death. Instead of one ‘pastor’ buying designer suits and the latest model of cars.
The lady of wasn’t taken advantage of,and she deserves no apology. The congregation however deserves an apology. The decision to be taken should be left to the church members. Whether to excommunicate or suspend the pastor. They can also simply stop going to the church, simple!. If possible, the pastor should be sanctioned by PFN. And this underscores the importance of an elder council,or whatever name it is called in a church to check the excesses of pastors. The idea of a one-man-church as it is the case in most new generation churches is very dangerous. May God help us all.
